At the request of our business partners from Kazakhstan, namely representatives of the economic zone, Khorgos East Gate and KTZE Khorgos, Adampol S.A. organized a seminar at the Chamber of Commerce in Białystok and a meeting with the marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodship, Jerzy Leszczyński. Business leaders from the Podlaskie Voivodship took part in this event. The marshal talked about business opportunities in our region while Khorgos representatives introduced their offer. This offer may prove to be an interesting one to Podlaskie companies.Adampol S.A. organized the following meeting with Polish business people at the Hilton Hotel in Warsaw. The goal of this event was to launch cooperation and effectively use Adampol S.A. terminals in Małaszewicze and Khorgos at the China-Kazak border crossing in order to develop the international transit-transport corridor. We were honored to host: Mr. Erbol Dauletijar, the advisor to the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and Mr. Janusz Piechociński, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy in 2012-2015.Khorgos Gateway, a modern logistics centre, was built by the Kazak government at the juncture of many rail routes. Trains go in various directions from this location: to the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Khorgos is a new “dry port” ( designed by the Kazak and Chinese governments) with huge warehouses and transshipment terminals. It is anticipated that this will be the largest logistics hub in Central Asia on the Silk Road.We consider the meetings very successful and we hope that the information gained during the presentation and discussion panel will contribute to developing business cooperation between Poland and Kazakhstan.
