At the end of April, the Eastern Europe Regional Meeting of ECG – The Association of European Vehicle Logistics was held in Gdańsk. It was attended by over 60 people from Central and Eastern Europe directly related to the automotive industry.
The event was opened by the Chairman, Krzysztof Szeligowski, who is also the FVL Sales Director at ADAMPOL S.A. During his speech, he welcomed the guests and described the market situation in Central and Eastern Europe. The presented data show that in the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the registration of new passenger cars in all countries of the region increased by over a dozen percent. Most cars were put into use in Greece, and the least in Lithuania. Poland in this ranking occupies a high, fifth place.
Participants, apart from taking part in lectures, willingly engaged in interactive and direct discussions on the most important industry topics. Among them prevailed:
– bandwidth issues,
– effects of introducing the Mobility Package,
– no international transport drivers.
One of ECG’s priorities is also the standardization of the length of a loaded car transporter to at least 20.75 m. The topic is discussed in connection with changes in the European Weight & Dimensions Directive.
This is the first regional meeting of the ECG – The Association of European Vehicle this year. We are pleased to inform you that Prilo – car transport exchange was one of the sponsors of the event. Additional information about the event will be available soon on the Prilo blog: Wschodnioeuropejskie Spotkanie Sektora ECG – Prilo
